Microlearning Monday and Workshop Wednesday (MM/WW) sessions began in March 2020 as a response to canceled professional learning sessions due to COVID-19 shut downs. The DIDSO Team quickly pivoted from previously scheduled, day-long, face-to-face (F2F) trainings to weekly 30-minute virtual trainings targeting skills for teaching and learning at a distance. Monday sessions showcase a strategy, resource, or information that gets follow-up hands-on practice on Wednesdays. Over the course of summer 2020, sessions lengthened from 30 minutes to an hour – and no one complained!

 

These weekly sessions were such a success that they continued into FY21. In FY22, instructors will be able to use a combination of MM/WW sessions and their application of learning in classrooms as an elective for professional learning.
