Kentucky Adult Education: Coaching Guide
Welcome to the Professional Learning Coach Guide for Kentucky Adult Education. This handbook serves as a comprehensive guide for our dedicated coaches, outlining our mission, vision, and strategic focus for FY25. It provides essential information, tools, and resources to support our efforts in fostering significant breakthroughs in instruction and empowering our educators.
Our primary goals include:
- Developing strong relationships with instructors to enhance instructional practices.
- Supporting Adult Education Math instructors to achieve significant improvements in math education.
- Facilitating various Professional Learning Communities focused on key content areas such as Math and RLA, leadership insight for area Directors, corrections education, family literacy, workplace literacy, recovery-informed instruction, GED® preparation, OSHA 10 certification, and contextualized lesson planning that integrates innovative technology usage and best practices in the adult education classroom.
- Providing initial reviews and feedback on IET and WPL planning tools submitted by Directors.
